Taiwan was great exposure to a westernized government in the east! Personally, I felt noticeably more at ease in Taiwan than in mainland China - kind of a similar vein to my unease in the UAE. Some of the best food I've ever had, with amazing nature, and even a lantern festival to top it all off!
